TEAM
- The Chattanooga Mocs improved to 18-3 overall and 6-0 in SoCon action … Samford dropped to 11-9 with its first SoCon loss at 4-1. 

- 14th-straight win … 40th in a row in SoCon action … last loss in league play was at Elon (70-60) in OT on Jan. 7, 2013.

- UTC has won 47 of 48 at home, including seven in a row.  

- First time holding an opponent to less than 40 points since Wofford in a 75-36 win on Jan. 18, 2014. 

- 12th time this season UTC has held a team to less than 50 points.

- This week's AP Poll came out today and the Mocs were No. 25 … first ranking since 1984 when UTC was No. 19 for three weeks and finished the year at No. 20. 

- Head Coach Jim Foster is the first in the history of the AP Poll to guide four teams into the top 25. 

- UTC started the game 2-4 from 3-point range … missed last 12 … 2-16 (.125%) for the game is a season-low in FG%.

- 49 points was two shy of a season low for UTC (47 at Furman on Jan.  12).

- Six assists for the Mocs tied a season-low … so did six turnovers. 

- UTC is outscoring SoCon opponents by 23.2 ppg (66.2 to 43.0). 

- Chattanooga forced Samford in 18 turnovers tonight … Mocs held an 18-2 advantage in points off turnovers … UTC is forcing 18.3 turnovers per game in SoCon action. 

- UTC logged 11 steals … fourth time in last five games with 10+ … ninth time this season in double-figures.

- Mocs are 15-6 against Samford … five consecutive wins.

INDIVIDUAL
Keiana Gilbert – Fr.-G
- Game-high 14 points on 6-10 shooting, 2-5 from the FT line.
- Game-high seven rebounds.
- Game-high four steals.
- Played all 40 minutes for the second time this season.

Moses Johnson – So.-G
- Eight points and five boards in 19 minutes off the bench. 

Alicia Payne – Jr.-G
- Second time this season played the whole game.
- Tied a career-high with six rebounds.
- Added eight points on 2-4 shooting, 4-6 from the FT line.

Ka'Vonne Towns – Sr.-G
- 13 points on 5-12 shooting, 2-7 from 3-point range and 1-2 from the FT line.
- Three boards and three steals.
