MOCS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL QUOTES
Game No. 23 | Chattanooga vs. East Tennessee State | Johnson City, Tenn. | Feb. 2, 2015

Head Coach Jim Foster
On the game overall:
“It was a good win, a solid win.”

On Chattanooga's lack of opportunity to rebound in the first half:
“They [ETSU] had a kid that was parked in the lane and she did a good job. She's big; she's strong, hard to move and their press players posed a problem for us. I thought Destiny [Bramblett] came in and picked us up and did some good things. And the second time Jasmine [Joyner] came in she played much better.”

On staying out of foul trouble:
“We were pretty disciplined. There are games that you just have to figure a way and we did. We figured out a way to win the game.”

On the pressure being ranked 23rd in the nation:
“Well, you have to learn on to live with it and just fight.  We need to work on things and continue to do things that you do well, get better at some of the things you need to get better at and grind out a win. I thought we did that today.”

On being able to full-court press ETSU for both halves:
“I think that's part of pressuring. I think we are a very well-conditioned basketball team. As a result we can play 94 feet and a lot of teams are not used to having to play that way, so that was an advantage for us. I thought we did a great job on their guard. We did a great job defending the three point line but they did a great job of hurting us inside.”

On Chattanooga's Chelsey Shumpert's performance:
“She had a couple of drives early in the game and became fixated on driving and wasn't thinking about her three-point field goal. Chelsey [Shumpert] is still a work in progress. She's a sophomore. She's a very talented offensive player who is still learning.”

On Chattanooga's Alicia Payne's contribution to the game:
“She is a good basketball player. She's going to have numbers in all areas. She had four steals. She had four assists, she had no turnovers, and she had four rebounds. She got eight points in the last two which was big time. We needed a basket and she challenged it.”
