Thoughts on the first half of play:
“As I pointed out to our team, when you are winning games by 30, you can take chances but you are developing bad habits. When you are in a game when a team runs an offense that is a reaction to your actions, going for steals is a very bad idea. You will pay quickly and (Samford) did a very good job of doing that. We did a very poor job from a defensive point of view. Offensively, in the first half, we did not have a lot of ball movement. As a result, we were not scoring.
Thoughts on the second half of play:
“Second half was like night and day. In the first half, we shot 25%, in the second half we shot 65%. In the first half, we had 10 turnovers. In the second half we had five turnovers.
