• Chattanooga clinched its 19th Southern Conference title since 1984 ... it is the Mocs' third straight and second in Jim Foster's second season.

• The Mocs held off Mercer 56-51 ... improve to 25-3 overall ... 13-0 in SoCon ... Mercer falls to 16-13 overall, 8-5 SoCon

• Chattanooga wins its 21st straight game and 47th consecutive SoCon regular season game

• UTC dominated the paint 30-12

• The Mocs edged Mercer 35-34 on the boards ... 12th time this season UTC has outrebounded opponent ... 11-1 when outrebounding opponent

• Mercer got out to a 14-4 lead with 6:33 gone in the first half ... UTC put together a 9-2 run to cut lead to 3 points and got to within one point with 2:49 to go in the first half

• UTC took the lead on a layup by freshman Keiana Gilbert with 15:55 to play and the Mocs would not trail again ... Mercer tied it up 49-49 with 2:29 to play and got to within one point six times

• Chattanooga's bench edged Mercer 11-10 ... Destiny Bramblett had 8 and Moses Johnson added 3.

• The Bears outscored UTC 12-7 on points off turnovers forcing 15 and committing on 12 miscues ... Mercer had an 11-4 advantage on second chance points outrebounding UTC 14-10 off the offensive boards.
