MOCS WOMEN'S BASKETBALL QUOTES
Game No. 31 | Chattanooga vs. Wofford | McKenzie Arena | Feb. 28, 2015

Head Coach Jim Foster
On the 15-0 run to start the game:
“We made some shots, and then got stops and that's what it's all about. It's good to start that way.”

Anything from the first game you could capitalize on differently in this game?
“We didn't rebound very well up there. I thought they really embarrassed us on the boards. I thought we did a much better job of that today.”

On starting off the game quickly and snowballed from there:
“Well, we moved the ball and this team does a good job of getting the ball to people who are hot and passing up maybe a good shot for themselves to get a better shot for a teammate. That's a good characteristic of this team and a good team.”

It shows in the assists (unselfish team) 19-8:
Yeah, the ball hopped pretty well today. I thought Jas (Jasmine Joyner) did a good job on the boards and a lot of people did a good job keeping other people off the boards. Red (Alicia Payne) was her typical pain in the posterior.”

On Alicia Payne..Is there any way to quantify what she does?
“No. She is disruptive. I mean that's the best word for her.  It's not her speed. She's got a good sense and instinct and she's not afraid to put her nose in places where other people are afraid to go. Her sense of timing is such that she makes a lot of plays because she doesn't have that fear.”

Sophomore Forward Jasmine Joyner
On breaking the record…
“I love blocking. If I could stay on defense and block shots I would be fine with that. But that's not how basketball goes. You have to play offense and defense. This conference season I learned I have to play smart so I don't get into foul trouble or mess anything up. I just had to play smart and learn when to block shots and when not to block shots.”

On regular season is retrospect…
“The last two games we came out kind of weak turning the ball over. Everybody is coming out for us. There is no game that is going to be lifted off of our shoulders. We have to go and play hard, keep boxing out, keep playing defense, execute on offense and just play our ball.”

Senior Forward Destiny Bramblett
On channeling the emotions on last home game…
“I feel like I did it pretty well this year. Last year, I was a nervous wreck. I think Jasmine took over for me this year.”

On coming out fast…
“I think that's good for us considering the last two games we came out and that was us. We turned the ball over three straight trips; two consecutive games. The feeling that they are turning it over and we're actually executing it is like a weight lifted off of our shoulders.”

Senior Guard Ka'Vonne Towns
On hitting the first three on senior night…
“I wasn't really nervous. I was trying to stay calm even though it was senior night. I wanted to keep shooting, I found a rhythm and it just kept going in.”

Was there a need to start fast?
“I don't think we really tried to play fast. We worked with what they gave us. We were able to push the ball up and make easy baskets.”

Was there a big fire on getting the seniors out with a big win?
“I think there was a little fire. It was really emotional for some of us. We just wanted to come out and play hard since it was our last game here.”
