CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Three members of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga outdoor track and field team will head to Knoxville, Tenn., this weekend for the Tennessee Challenge at the Tom Black Track.

Senior Amanda Cotter (Bristol, Conn.) will run the women's 1500 meter. She earned all-conference honors with a third place finish at the Southern Conference Championships last weekend with a personal best time.

Sophomore Maddison Melchionna (Afton, Tenn.) came close to breaking the school record in the 800 meter during the indoor season. At the league outdoor championships last weekend, she just missed all-conference with a fourth place finish in the 800 meter, posting her second-best time of the season.

Also running the 800 meter will be junior Marquis Carter (Memphis, Tenn.). He reached his PR in the preliminary round of the 800m at the SoCon Championships on Saturday and was just 0.40 off that time in the final, placing fifth overall.

The Tennessee Challenge will be all day Saturday at the Tom Black Track on the Knoxville campus. Results will be available at the end of the meet at GoMocs.com.
