BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. --- The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's soccer team fell 3-2 in overtime to UNC Asheville Sunday afternoon in Boiling Springs, N.C. The Mocs fall to 1-6 on the year while the Bulldogs improve to 5-2 overall.

After getting outshot 11-3 in the first half, the Mocs' stepped up its offensive effort, with a 10-5 advantage on shots in the second half while both teams managed three each in overtime.

"We created enough chances to win the game," Chattanooga head coach
Gavin McKinney said. "But there's a difference between creating chances and taking them."

Chattanooga got on the board first on a goal from sophomore transfer
Peyton McCollum (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) assisted by senior
Skylar Brewer (Farragut, Tenn.) at the 15:56 mark of the game.

The ball was passed in to Brewer who then played a diagonal to McCollum.

"Peyton tookher chance extremely well," McKinney said. "It was a good goal for us."

The Bulldogs tied it up in the 23
rd minute on a shot by Justine James in the box and the game would remain knotted up until UNCA's Caroline Houser connected on a shot from outside the box. Her goal at the 68:14 mark gave the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead.

As the end of regulation loomed, sophomore
Emily Moseley (Nashville, Tenn.) won the ball and and scored the game-tying goal, on an assist from freshman
Rachel Giampapa (Jackson, Tenn.) in the 83rd minute to make it 2-2.

"Emily won the ball and made a really good run," McKinney said.

The Bulldogs got the game winner in the 98
th minute with a cross from the right by Kennedy Garrett to Paige Trent.

Freshman
Molli Miller (Maryville, Tenn.) made her debut in the net for Chattanooga with eight saves.
Â
"Molli's been training really, really well and we wanted to give her a chance," McKinney said. "We have three really good keepers and Molli was solid today."

UNCA outshot the Mocs 19-16 with an 11-6 shots on goal. Miller made six saves in the first period and snared a pair in extra time. Each team had one corner kick in the first half, but the Bulldogs had four in the second period for a 5-2 advantage.
McCollum and Moseley were named to the all-tournament team.
