The Mocs are 1-6 on the year after falling 2-1 to Gardner-Webb on the opening day of the Bulldogs' Under Armour Classic last Friday night. On Sunday, UTC forced overtime against UNC Asheville but lost 3-2 in the 98th minute. Senior
Skylar Brewer netted the Mocs first goal against UNCA and leads the team with two goals and one assist. Sophomore
Amanda Ortiz is second on the team in scoring with three points while seven other players have scored for the Mocs this season. Sophomore

Molli Miller has one start and senior
Lauren Thomas finished the Mocs' win at Alabama A&M after returning from a knee injury that ended her season last year almost before it began. The trio has combined for a .750 saves percentage and a 1.66 goals against average and have given up just 12 goals.
UAB Blazers
Head Coach: Harold Warren (Cal Poly Pomona), 1990) • 5th season
The Blazers are 1-5 on the year with a double-overtime 4-3 win over Austin Peay in the season-opener. UAB fell 4-0 to #16 Auburn in its next match and the lost its next four. Southern Conference foe Mercer claimed a 5-1 win over the Blazers in their last outing. Kasey Johnson has the team's game winning goal and leads the Blazers with two goals. Five other players have scored for UAB with Caroline Kehrer has a team-high 11 shots. Kasey Daughtery started five matches for UAB and has given up 16 goals for a 3.10 GAA while making 16 saves. Angelica Jimenez got the start against Memphis and made four saves with one goal against.
Chattanooga vs. UAB
The Blazers hold a 2-0 margin against the Mocs including a 7-0 win in Birmingham last year. The only other meeting was near the end of Chattanooga's first season.
Scoring Against the Bulldogs
Chattanooga's last three opponents were all nicknamed "Bulldogs". The Mocs scored all seven goals in those three matches. UTC had four in a win over Alabama A&M, one against Gardner-Webb and two in an overtime loss to UNC Asheville.
Latham Ranks Among SoCon's Top Current Players
Senior
Clare Latham has 12 career assists and that ranks her fourth in the Southern Conference among active players. She tallied a team-high seven last season.
Thomas Ranks in Two Categories for Active Players in the Southern Conference
Senior
Lauren Thomas missed all of last year and still ranks among the top players in the Southern Conference. She is third for saves with 153 and is tied for fifth for shutouts with three.
Emig Ranked in SoCon Standings
Junior
Katie Emig has a 0.94 goals against average for the Mocs through two games, giving up just one goal in each contest. She is sixth in GAA and saves percentage (.800) while ranking seventh for saves with eight and fifth for saves per game with 4.0.
Hogan In On All The Action
Junior
Samantha Hogan assisted on all four of Chattanooga's goals in the Mocs' 4-2 win over UAH in a friendly on Sunday, Aug. 16. She nearly had a goal of her own after getting past the UAH keeper, but the Charger defense was able to keep the ball out of the net.
