Women’s Golf 10th in Power-Packed Trinity Forest Field

Megan Woods led the Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team on day one of the Trinity Forest Invitational.

DALLAS---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf is in 10th after 36 holes today at the Trinity Forest Invitational. The ladies shot 613 which puts them four shots out of eighth-place held by No. 11 Colorado and No. 45 BYU at 609.
 
San Antonio native Megan Woods was low for the Mocs tied for 24th at 151. That was three better than Cristina Perez with 154. Monica San Juan is two behind her at 156 followed by Maddy McDanel at 157. Holly Morgan shot 160.
 
The team was tied for seventh through 18 with a total of 305. Woods led the way with a 74, which tied for the 10th-best round of the session, followed by Perez's 75. Morgan added a 76 with San Juan's 80 wrapping up the morning numbers.
 
San Juan and McDanel paced the afternoon 308 with twin 76s. Woods chipped in 77 as Perez rounded out the team score with 79.
 
UTC leads Campbell by one and is three clear of No. 22 UNLV in 12th at 616 and eight ahead of No. 42 UTSA. No. 27 Houston has a five-stroke lead at 586 over Kansas State (591). KSU's Reid Isaac is the individual leader at 3 under.
