- Chattanooga beat Northwestern 61-44 … UTC wins its third straight game … Mocs improve to 3-3 … it was the first loss for the Wildcats who are 4-1.
- Second win for the Mocs this season – and third in four tries – over a Power 5/Big 10 Conference opponent … UTC opened with a win at Rutgers last season before falling to Indiana at the Roundhouse. This season UTC beat the Hoosiers on their home court on Nov. 20.
- Mocs outrebounded Northwestern 36-30 … only the second game this season the Mocs outrebounded an opponent … outscored them in the paint 26-16 … scored 21 points off 15 turnovers.
- Second game for UTC with 17 assists this season … Presbyterian on 11/18.
- Mocs were 9-of-19 from the 3-point line … most of the season … second time to make nine in a game – at Stetson, 9-of-24.
- Chattanooga started the season with three straight losses, first time since 2010-11 season … UTC has won three straight.
