Mocs End Regular Season in 10th-place at Brickyard Collegiate

Monica San Juan’s 75 paced the Chattanooga Mocs over the final 18 holes at Brickyard Golf Club.

RESULTS
 
MACON---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team ended up 10th at the Brickyard Collegiate. A final round 307 completed the 54-hole tally of 919.
 
Monica San Juan had the low 18 with 75 today. Holly Morgan added 76 with Megan Woods at 77. Cristina Perez rounded out the team score with 79, while Maria Pineiro had the drop at 82.
 
Morgan was the low Moc for the week tying for 24th at 226. San Juan tied for 31st with 229 which was two clear of Perez at 231. Woods was another two shots behind her with 233.
 
UTC finished eight behind Maryland ninth. It was also eight clear of the 11th-place duo of Jacksonville and Middle Tennessee. No. 9 Furman won the event by four over No. 21 Texas A&M and Augusta. The Paladins' Haylee Harford and ETSU's Loy Hee Ying tied for medalist at 3 under.

  • 10 birdies today…11th time with double digits among the counting cards this season.
  • 11 others (scores higher than bogeys) for the event is a season high.
  • +5 on the par 3s is the third-best number of the year…shot 1 under at the Palmetto Intercollegiate and E last week at the Web.com Intercollegiate.
  • San Juan, Woods and Morgan tied for the team lead in birdies this week with six…San Juan (61) holds the season total lead over Perez (58) and Morgan (56)…Maddy McDanel's 2.21 per 18 is the best average…McDanel missed the last two events due to injury.
  • Perez recorded her 1,000th career par today…now has 1,003 matching Morgan with a team-high 34 this week.
