Mocs Drop 6-1 Match to Furman

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 match to Furman today. The loss moves the Mocs to 12-6 on the year and 2-2 in SoCon action. The Paladins improved to 18-5 overall and 5-0 in league play.
Senior Rachele Gazzola scored the Mocs only point on the afternoon. She dropped her first set at No. 5 to Hannah Ferrett 6-2, but rebounded to take the second set 6-4. With the team outcome already decided, Gazzola won the 10-point super-tiebreaker to take the match.
Up next for the Mocs is a trip to Mercer on April 8. The next home match is Senior Day against Samford on April 14.
