GREENVILLE, S.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team moved up to seventh-place with a 1-over par 289 at Furman Golf Club Saturday. The 592 total is on behind Memphis in sixth and two clear of Southern Miss in eighth.

Monica San Juan and the back nine were the story. San Juan shot 68 to pace the squad's efforts. She was supported by
Holly Morgan at 73 along with
Cristina Perez and
Megan Woods with 74s.
Maddy McDanel's 75 was the drop score.

The Mocs made the turn at 6 over. They shot 5 under on the back nine with 10 of a season-high 14 birdies coming on that side.

Eight of those came from the blades of San Juan and Morgan. The duo combined to shoot 7 under over the nine holes to put their squad in contention for a strong finish.

San Juan and Perez are both in the top 20 overall. San Juan is tied for 14th at +2, while Perez is two back tied for 19th at +4.

Daytona State is still the leader with 573 led by Jiwon Jeon who is first individually at 9 under.
