RESULTS
GREENVILLE, S.C.---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team finished 10th at the Lady Paladin Invitational. A final round 303 gave the Mocs a three-day total of 895 at Furman Golf Club.
That put the team just two behind Southern Miss in ninth at 893. UTC topped ETSU in 11th by two, while Ole Miss was another shot back in 12th. James Madison (908), Georgia State (915) and LSU (916) followed in 13th, 14th and 15th, respectively.
Cristina Perez led the Mocs with a 73 over the final 18 holes.
Megan Woods added 76 with
Monica San Juan and
Holly Morgan each contributing 77 to the team tally.
Perez had the low total for the tourney with a 5-over 221 tying for 21st. San Juan turned in 223 with Woods right behind at 226. Morgan shot 228, while
Maddy McDanel came in at 231.
Furman (857) claimed the win on its home course over Daytona State (867). Daytona's Jiwon Jeon was the wire-to-wire winner shooting a tournament-record 11-under 205.

3 NOTES TO KNOW
- Consistent start for Perez. She shot 220 in the first tournament, 221 this weekend. She leads the Mocs with a 73.5 scoring average.
- San Juan's eight birdies led the team this week.
- Morgan was a team-best 1 under on the par 3s.
NEXT UP
The Mocs are off for a month before returning to the course at the Palmetto Intercollegiate. The three-day, 54-hole event is played at Turtle Point Golf Club on Kiawah Island in South Carolina.
