- Chattanooga posted a 68-58 overtime win against Samford tonight … Mocs improved to 13-7 overall and 4-2 in SoCon play. Samford dropped to 10-11 overall and 2-4 in league action.

- Win No. 899 for head coach Jim Foster … 899-341 – 40^th year … 116-34 – 5^th year at UTC … trying to become the eighth NCAA women's basketball coach with 900 wins.   

- Mocs are 21-7 all-time against Samford … 12-2 at home … fifth-straight win in the series.

- UTC outscored Samford 13-3 in OT … Mocs shot 4-5 from the field, 2-2 from 3-pt. range and 3-4 from the FT line … Samford was 1-9 from the field, 1-5 from three and did not take a FT.

- Samford got 31 points off its bench, compared to 13 for UTC.

- Bulldogs led by as many as nine in the third quarter (29-20 – 9:50) … UTC outscored Samford 22-14 in the third frame to take a two-point advantage (42-40) into the fourth.

- Score was tied nine times with eight lead changes.

- Samford's Hannah Nichols hit a three with 22 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.

- Mocs are 2-0 in OT this season. 

- 53 consecutive SoCon wins at home … last loss was against Appalachian State (57-56) on Feb. 14, 2011.

- Mocs had 10 personal fouls ... ninth time the Mocs, who lead the NCAA with the fewest fouls per game (12.2), had 10 or fewer.

- Career-high 42 minutes. 
- Seven boards for the second game in a row … one shy of a career-high.

Brooke Burns – Fr. G
- Seven points off the bench.
- Shot 3-4 from the field, 1-1 from three.
- One off her career-high for scoring set against Princeton.
- Tied a season-best with three boards.
- Added a steal.

Aryanna Gilbert – Sr.-G
- Tied a career-high with a game-high 25 points.
- Shot 9-17 from the field, 2-5 from three and 5-5 from the FT line.
- Second career double-double with a career-high 13 boards.
- Played all 45 minutes … played whole game for eighth time this season.
- Added three steals.

Keiana Gilbert – Sr.-G
- Played the entire game for the 13^th-straight game … 15^th this season.
- Nine points on 3-9 shooting, 3-6 from the FT line.
- Added six rebounds.
- Broke a streak of three-straight 20-point games.   
- 1,283 career points passes Lisa Porter (1980-83) for 15^th all-time at UTC.
