- The Chattanooga Mocs posted a 49-42 win over UNCG to open Southern Conference play for both teams tonight … Mocs are 10-5 overall, while the Spartans drop to 6-10.

- 51^st-straight SoCon home win … last time the Mocs lost a league game at home was a 57-56 setback to Appalachian State on Feb. 14, 2011 … 31-0 under head coach Jim Foster.

- Mocs lost the battle on the boards 40-37, but it was the second-most rebounds in a game for UTC this season … ORBs were even at 11, but UNCG led 9-4 in second-chance points … Mocs are just 6-5 when getting beat on the glass.   

- UNCG's Ije Ajemba had a double-double with 16 points and 16 boards … most rebounds against the Mocs since Elon's Kelsey Evans had 21 in a 70-60 Phoenix win on Jan. 7, 2013. 

- Mocs tied a season-low with just four threes made … 4-14 (28.6%) … came into the game leading the SoCon in threes made per game at 6.6 and 3-pt. FG% (40.2%). 

- Mocs tied a season-low with just nine turnovers for the third time. 

- UTC is 42-7 all-time against UNCG.
