Chattanooga Basketball Postgame Quotes
Chattanooga at Hampton
Convocation Center – Hampton, Va.

Head Coach Katie Burrows
On the free throws being the difference in the game:
"We actually made our free throws tonight. We were 0-0 at the half, but we got aggressive in the second half. That is one of the reasons why we were able to get this win. It was a very gutsy win.Â
"We did not meet all of our goals tonight, but we met those goals when it counted and did a really good job down the stretch of just holding them off and making our free throws."Â
On the play of the bench:
"Ebony with 13 and Morgan with 12, two of our freshmen. Ebony had seven rebounds and Abby, another freshman, had eight rebounds. They are really starting to get comfortable and giving us some quality minutes off the bench. I have been really please with their effort.
On tonight's shooting:Â
"We didn't shoot the ball great, but we got the stops when we need it and made our free throws down the stretch."
On the maturity of the team:
"Towards the end, we had our older bunch in there. They were jumping and trapping and it was leaving us open with three points shot. Brooke and Lakelyn were out there and they just could not hit them, so I subbed them out. I walked over to Lakelyn and she says, 'I know why you took me you, I couldn't hit a shot.'Â
"I relied on her at the end, in-bounding the ball, hoping they would foul here. But Morgan did a good job hutting her free throws in the last minutes. I was really pleased with the overall effort."
On the unselfishness of the team:
"It has been interesting, the level unselfishness this team has this year. They are constantly over there rooting for their teammates on the court. The ones that are on the court are trying to pick the other ones up. I have just been really pleased with that as well. They truly are coming together as a unit."
On Monday's game at Virginia Tech:
"Hopefully we will shoot it better on Monday. If not, hopefully we can play just as good defense."Â
