Camper Welcomes Jessie Young to Mocs Tennis Program

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis head coach Chad Camper announced the signing of Jessie Young to a National Letter of Intent this week.  Young is a four-star prep prospect from Canton, Ga.

Young will be a 2019 graduate of Cambridge High School in Alpharetta, Ga.  She has a 12-6 record as a senior and went 37-21 last year.

"Jessie has the perfect game for college tennis," stated Camper. "She can win the point several ways and has a fighting spirit. I knew the first time I watched her compete, that this was a player we need at Chattanooga."

Young is the fifth ranked played in Georgia, according to TennisRecruiting.net, who also gave her the four-star rating.  She is in the top 50 in the Southeast and just outside of the top 200 nationally.

The daughter of Ellen and Brent Young, Jessie has a younger brother, Jake, and a younger sister, Jada.  He mother played tennis at Georgia State while her father played golf for the Panthers.  Young is a member of the National Honor Society who plans to major in Science at UTC.
