Opening thoughts:
"Not sure why we are struggling in the first four games with our shooting. 0-9 in the first half and they went 5-10. That was sort of the tale of the first half. They are a great three-point shooting team and you have to make some shots against them."
On their ability to shoot the three:
"That really was the tale of the game. They are a three-point shooting team. Almost half of their shots are threes. We knew that coming in to the game. Sometimes I don't think the kids believe that when you tell them. I think they have to start understating that we are telling them that for a reason. This is the kind of team you want to put the ball on the floor."
On the effort in the second half:
"I thought we played a much better second half, moved the ball and got into the paint. We have to do a better job of making free throws and making some open shots. We have been stressing it in practice and they have been doing that in practice. Sometimes it doesn't carry over to the game. When you get the best shot in the game, which is a layup, we can't really design anything more than that. We have to get a little bit tougher between the ears and make those. Free throws and free and layups are easy. We will work on that."
On the play of the freshmen:
"There were a lot of good things out there. Once again our freshmen played great.
Morgan Hill is a kid that can get into the paint and she is going to be really good. We know how good Ebony Williams can be, and Abby, I can't talk enough about the three of them. They bring a lot of life to this team.
"We started three freshmen in the second half and it is only going to make us stronger as a team. Competition can bring out the best in you. I am excited for that. They fought hard and we can't be disappointed with that."
