Head Coach Katie Burrows
Opening Statement
"We know Lee is a very good program. Being Division II doesn't matter. Marty [Rowe] does a great job with his bunch. They're very disciplined on both ends of the floor. Fortunately, we were a little bit stronger a little bit quicker so we were able to get to the rim. Obviously the foul shots proved that.

"One of the things Brooke [Burns] alluded to in her statement was we have goals. One of the goals is we make more free throws than our opponents take. We made 17 and they took seven so. We did a really good job of taking advantage of them in that respect.

"Sometimes we forced it and we have to learn not to do that. We have to move the ball and get better looks. Overall I was pleased with that. The bottom line is we can't turn the ball over 17 times and expect to win many more ball games. Most of those were unforced. They were us not staying tight with the ball and not taking care of it.

"Overall a win is a win. I'm very pleased with it. But we have to get back to work tomorrow having two days to prepare for a very good Louisville team. We're looking forward to that but we have a lot of work to do between now and Friday."

On Lakelyn Bouldin
"She only took a couple of shots in the first half. She was getting out of her rhythm a little bit. So I pulled her out and let her refocus. Coming back out in the second half she was one of the better ones getting it in the hole. She was only 3-of-9 in the field but 7-of-8 from the foul line. She was getting fouled quite a bit and we were fortunate that she was knocking those down. She will probably never go 0-for-4 from 3 again she's got to get back in her rhythm and find that stroke which I have no doubt that she will do."

On turnovers…
"We only had 12 or 13 turnovers going into the fourth quarter. So we really did a much better job in the second half if you're looking at the improvement from one half to the next. We only had six in the second half."

On Arianne Whitaker
"She's our strength down there. I did feel like she was utilizing that as much in the second half and I felt like defensively they were bringing us out of the perimeter more. She wasn't going to be able to help us out there as much. Putting Abbey [Cornelius] on the perimeter allowed us to switch quite a bit. She ended up on a guard a lot and was able to move in front of them and be active with high hands. When a big kid like that, 6-2 and can guard on a perimeter, that gives 5-6, 5-7 a fit.  It was a defensive adjustment we had make because they were starting to feel it. It had nothing to do with the offensive end. She did an excellent job."

Brooke Burns, So., G
"I think our defense the first three quarters was probably the difference. I think we could have done a lot better in the fourth quarter on defense. I think being prepared on what they ran in the first three quarters on defense is why we won."

On Arianne Whitaker
"She caught some hard passes to catch and she finished them. Which she's capable of doing. She does it in practice. She gets on a roll and has a good touch around the goal. She gave us some breathing room.
Abby Cornelius, Fr., F
Q: Was there a moment where you settled into the game?
"I think in the second half when I went out there. I felt a little more comfortable after I watched Arianne [Whitaker] and Rochelle [Lee] and saw the flow of the game. I definitely felt a lot more comfortable the second half."
