RESULTS
JACKSONVILLE---The Chattanooga Mocs vaulted up the leaderboard into a runner-up finish at the UNF Collegiate at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club. The Mocs turned it 296 for an 883 total, third-best of the season.
Megan Woods earned her second consecutive top 10 carding a career-best 1-over 217. Woods fired 73 over her final round to tie three others in sixth, including 91st-ranked Maggie Simmermacher of Old Dominion, moving up three spots in the process.
Monica San Juan led the way on the final round scorecard. Her level-par 72 was one ahead of Woods, while
Cristina Perez was one further behind with 74.
Holly Morgan and
Maddy McDanel turned in twin 77s.
Perez ended her 54 holes tied for 14th at 4-over 220. San Juan jumped 13 spots into the top 25, tying for 25th at 224. Morgan was one back at 225, while McDanel ended up with 226.
Old Dominion was the team champion with even-par 864 followed by the Mocs. Toledo was third with 886. Jiwon Jeon from Daytona State was medalist shooting 14 under (202).

- Team scoring average this spring (6 rounds) is 294.00…posted 300.08 in five fall events.
- Final round with seven birdies broke a string of four straight 18s in double figures.
- It's the first time in Woods' career she's had back-to-back top 10s…4th career…last time a Moc posted consecutive top 10s was October 2015 when Emily McLennan tied for sixth at the Cardinal Cup and tied for third at the Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The Mocs head to the western shores of Mexico for their next event, the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational. Iowa hosts the even in Puerto Vallarta at El-Tigre Golf Club. It starts with 36 holes on Friday, March 16, with a final 18 on St. Patrick's Day.
