MACON, Ga.---The Chattanooga Mocs are tied for second after 18 holes at the Brickyard Collegiate on the Brickyard at Riverside. The Mocs shot 302 and are tied with Virginia Tech and Old Dominion.
The trio is eight shots off the pace set by Vanderbilt at 294. They're three clear of Kennesaw State in fifth at 305. Louise Yu (Vandy), Madison Caldwell (KSU) and Payton Schanen (Mercer) are tied for the lead at level-par 72.
Monica San Juan paced the Mocs with a 1-over par 73. She's tied for fourth, one stroke out of the lead.
Cristina Perez is tied for 10th, another shot back at 74.
Megan Woods (77) and
Holly Morgan (78) closed out the counting total, while
Maddy McDanel had the drop score of 79.
It was a consistent day for the Mocs contingent. They went out at 6 over and closed with 8 over on the final nine. That puts the quintet in excellent position with 36 holes to play over the next two days.
