Head Coach Katie Burrows
On the effect of the press and the poor shooting down the stretch:
"I don't have a consistent ball-handler.  We drill it and we punish it.  There is consequences for those things, but when we step out there on the court in the game, there is no carry over and there is no value in the ball.

"We are capable.  They didn't change a thing that they did and in the second half we only had seven turnovers.  They didn't change a thing.

"My question to my players was, what was the difference.  They didn't have an answer, other than we just had some people step up and decide they were going to handle the ball for us.

"The bottom line is, we can't win a ball game if we can't take care of the ball.  They got 23 more opportunities to score than we did and only hit three more shots than we did."

On the last shot:
"We were looking for Eboni on the backdoor.  I have to look at the film, but I thought we could have led her with the pass to the rim for a nice controlled layup or a foul. We were 14/15 from the foul line and we haven't shot it that well yet.  I thought if maybe we could get in there they would foul her and could hit that layup.

"I don't know what Lakelyn saw, so we will watch it together.  The next option was to hit Abby for a handoff.  I thought she had time for a quick-dribble pull-up under control.  Those are things in the pressure of the moment you just have to learn from it.  Next time, when we are in this situation again, we will be able to execute and come out on top."

On the last shot:
"We were looking for Eboni off the back cut and a throw up to finish, but they guarded it well.  Maybe I could have made the pass.  I have to go back and watch the film.  The shot we got was second option.  We got a look and didn't execute.  It should not have to come down to the last shot."

On breaking the press:
"We just had to execute the way Coach wanted us to do.  When we turned it over, we weren't setting it up right.  Getting it in too low and trying to force a pass.  The biggest thing was trying to settle down.  I think Bria did a good job coming in and helping us out by bringing the ball up the floor.  With any press you just have to slow down."

On the defensive changes:
"We had to just throw something different at them.  They weren't shooting it particularly well, like they have been in the past. We were just mixing it up and doing some thing different."

On correcting the turnovers in the second half:
"We all had to slow down and take a step back and just relax.  Don't let them speed us up."

On the shooting down the stretch:
"I am not really sure to be honest.  We are just going to have to work on it and continue to go hard to the basket."
