On the play of the team today
"We got hot and they were not and then it was it was just like the tables turned all of a sudden. A couple of blown coverages. We'll learn from that. Not switching high enough late clock and giving up a three at the end of the shot clock. Miscommunications and giving up a layup on a back cut because we didn't talk, we didn't communicate. I think it's just so disheartening for my girls. I hope from this they can take some confidence. We messed up in a lot of situations today. We've got to tighten that up, but that's the most grit and fire I've seen out of my team all season, all season. So we're moving in the right direction.
Â
Only 10 turnovers, so we did take care of the ball. We shot it much better today. Free throws. That hurt us. We missed six free throws and we lose by six, so we've got to clean that up. It's like we're still not connecting on all cylinders for one game. We did that one time at Liberty and it's just not happened again. We're going to learn a lot from this. I think that they got a taste and I think they're gonna to have a bitter taste in their mouth and I think they 're gonna want to come out and fight in the next one. It's such a hard life on the road. They gave us everything they had tonight but came up short."

On the play of Eboni Williams
"She did do a good job. She made all of her free throws and had 23 point and 11 rebounds. She let her emotions get the best of her in that one play [called for intentional foul], but she said 'that girl was holding my arm.' We've got to learn not to react. She played with a lot of fire and energy."
Â
On production from the team
"We got a lot of production from other places. NaKeia [Burks] started hitting the three; Lakelyn [Bouldin] was getting in there and battling. She was not as hot tonight from the floor but she was still giving us opportunities tonight to get buckets.
Â
At the half we'd given up eight offensive rebounds and they ended with 13 so there were only five there in that second half. They still outrebounded us, but we were crashing harder in the second half. Made some plays there at the end and gave ourselves opportunity to win, but overall when we get that lead we've got to keep it."
Â
On the play of EKU
"The Davis kid hit a couple big shots and the Bass kid stepped up for them. We knew they were going to. We just got to get stops when we need them. When the shots are not falling we've got to learn how to get stops on the other end and not relax."
Â
Final thoughts
"This was a much brighter light for me. I hate losing and I'm not going to go in there with a smile on my face. They battled their hearts out tonight and still came up short. We're going to figure out ow to not come up short in the next one."
