Overall thoughts after today's 70-58 loss to Ohio.
"The fight was there. There are very few games where I would say my kids have given up, they're never going to do that. They're going to keep fighting. I just felt like every time we would chip away and get within a couple points, we'd give up a couple fast break opportunities or didn't match up. It seemed like every time we turned the ball over, they capitalized on it, and we turned it over a lot. I keep telling them that at some point they have to take some responsibility over that. We only had six fewer shots than they did and we had 22 turnovers, that's rare. If we could just get the ball to go in, we could put some more pressure on them. When you get within a few points, you have to buckle down. You just have to."
On playing tough non-conference schedule.
"The hope is that since we have played such tough competition, that once we get into Southern Conference play, we play at a higher level against our opponents. That's why we don't typically play a flux schedule. You never know when you're going to have a down year, and I won't say that we don't have the pieces to the puzzle. We have the pieces. It just has to all connect together. We just have to find how to put that puzzle together. There's a lot of little things that we get to work on over the next ten or so days. I'm looking forward to working on it and breaking it down." Â
Lakelyn Bouldin, Sr.-G
On third quarter run to cut into deficit.Â
"We set a goal to cut it to at least seven at the five-minute mark and then cut it to down to four at the end of the quarter. That was our focus, just to chip away. We reached our goal there."
On the play from the bench,Â
"I think that's huge. They stepped up and made some big shots, brought some scoring off the bench. That really helped us and we need that. It's a spark."
On tough non-conference schedule.Â
"I think our schedule up to now has made us tougher. Mostly mentally. We don't have the record we want by any means but we have learned something from every game. We start with a clean slate now and we know just as well as anybody that we can turn it around and go win the conference."

On tough non-conference schedule.
"I feel like it's all made us tougher mentally, and physically of course. It's made us realize that we can fight and win a conference because of the tough schedule."
On the team's fight.Â
"At the times we needed to fight, we did. They started hitting shots and went on runs, which basketball is a game of runs. We just have to cut those runs shorter against these kind of teams. Effort plays are what gets us going."
