- The Chattanooga Mocs dropped a 62-56 game against Mercer in McKenzie Arena this afternoon.  The Mocs fell to 12-15 overall and 7-5 in SoCon play, while the Bears improved to 20-7 and 12-0 in SoCon action.

- This was the final home game for UTC seniors Nakia Burks, Shlebie Davenport and Molly Melton. 

- Mocs trailed by 10 with 5:30 left to play following a Linnea Rosendal jumper … Mocs cut it to two 58-56 with 18 seconds, but could not complete the comeback.

- Both teams were 1-8 from three today.

- Mercer is 2-14 from three in two games against UTC this season.

- Mocs had a season-low five assists.

- UTC outrebounded Mercer 41-38 …

- Eight points on 4-12 shooting.
- Passed Marcheta Winston (1986-89) for 25^th in scoring at UTC with 1,039 career points. 
- Added seven boards.
- Fifth game with at least seven rebounds at UTC.

Brooke Burns – 23 – So. – G
- Season-high and team-high 17 points.
- Only UTC player in double-figures.
- Shot 7-12 from the field, 1-2 from three and 2-2 from the FT line.
- Added three boards.

Arianne Whitaker – 4 – Jr. – F
- UTC career-high 17 boards.
- Game-high for rebounds.
- Added eight points.
- Shot 3-10 from the field and 2-2 from the FT line.
- Added two blocks.
- 20 blocks in the last six games.
