On getting a lot of individuals in the game today:
"Being able to mix up the rotations a little bit and just trying to run some things to spread us out and get us moving the ball. I mentioned last game that we were too stagnant. I felt like we did a much better job of that today. When we did get stagnant, it showed. It was a constant reminder. Keep moving it.
"I left like we pushed tempo today and we settled down at times today. They did a good job in transition. In the second half, we needed to get back down the court. We only gave up seven fastbreak points, which was good.Â
"We went zone at the beginning of the second half, just to play around with it. We have practiced it, but we wanted to get it in a game situation. The bottom line was, they were 0-8 from three coming out of the locker room."
On the press:
"That too is another way to slow them down. They were not really sure what to do with it. Were we zone, were we man. They were confused with it, initially. Then later on it was just intended to slow them down. There were times that we had hiccups and we weren't switching. I think it helped us out quite a bit."
On their short bench:
"You know who is going to play. Just figuring out their tendencies. They are a put their head down and go kind of team. If we can make them play half court, we did a pretty darn good job. We only gave up 20 points in the first half and that gave us a little buffer. We had a horrible third quarter defensively, but in the end, we hit our free throws and didn't settle. We took 20 threes today and I kept reminding them, stop settling. We are hitting, so they were looking to attack the basket quite a bit as well.Â
"We did outrebound them, I am proud of that as well. We took much better care of the ball today."
