BATON ROUGE---The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team jumped past South Alabama and Mercer into sixth-place at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic. The Mocs matched yesterday's total of 306 which was the fourth-lowest tally at University Club on day two.
 
Kirsty Beckwith paced the Gig City lasses with a 2-over 74. Maddy McDanel was next at 75 followed closely by Monica San Juan's 76. Rheagan Hall completed the counters with an 81, while Esme Hamilton's 83 was the drop score.
 
Beckwith is tied for ninth overall at 150. McDanel and San Juan are knotted in 19th with 152. Hall stands at 158 with Hamilton just behind her at 160.
 
The ladies started their round on No. 10 and got off to a strong beginning playing holes 10-12 at 2 under. Much like the first round, they made the turn at 5 over only to struggle on their second nine. They scored 6 over on the final three holes of the day to slip two shots behind LSU and No. 19 TCU in fourth at 610.
 
No. 25 Campbell is the leader with 590. That's four ahead of UTSA in second and 12 clear of Old Dominion in third. UTSA's Ana Gonzalez is the leader at 1 under 143.
 
The Mocs are back on the tee at 9:30 a.m. (ET) for a shotgun start. They're matched up with the host Tigers and Horned Frogs opening on holes 5-9. Links to today's results, live scoring and parings are above.

• Beckwith posted a career-high five birdies over her 18 today. Previous high was four in the opening 18 at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite.
• McDanel is among the tourney leaders in par 3 scoring. She's 2 under which is tied for third. Ana Gonzalez (UTSA) tops the chart at -4.
