The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team scored a 7-0 win over Covenant College today.  The Mocs improved to 13-10 overall with the victory.  It is the most wins in a season for the program since going 14-4 in 2012. 

Chattanooga swept the opening doubles matches with some new faces in the lineup.  Junior Niklas Gerdes and freshman Tomas Rodriguez moved up to No. 1 for a 6-0 win over Paxton Haggerty and Trey Wood. 

Senior Pablo Llebeili and sophomore Luke Plaisted scored a 6-1 win over Logan Hull and Chris Morton at No. 2, while senior Paul Lahue and junior Simon Bustamante won at No. 3 over Ben Luke and Tyler Kelly (6-3).

UTC only dropped 10 games in the six singles matches.  Rodriguez won at No. 1, while freshman Kerim Hyatt scored a point at No. 2.  Plaisted was in at No. 3, followed by sophomore Jacob Marshall at No. 4.  Sophomore Cooper Long had a win at No. 5 and freshman Bo Nash scored his first point in the spring at No. 6. 

Up next for the Mocs is the regular season finale at UNCG on Saturday.  The SoCon Tournament is the following weekend in Macon, Ga.
