The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Athletics Department took home three separate awards from the 2018-19 Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Publications Contest, announced this week.
The Mocs finished second in the nation in the
FCS Football Media Guide,
Game Notes Winter Sports and
Special Event Program categories. This is the most honors in one year for UTC, upping its total to 10 awards since the 2010-11 academic year. The Mocs were also one of only two FCS program to win three awards.
This is the fifth time UTC's Football Guide has won an award from CoSIDA. It was voted
Best Cover last year, and
Best in the Nation in 2016. There were also runner-up honors for the 2011 and 2013 guides.

The Mocs wrestling match notes earned the
Game Notes Winter Sports honors, beating out all entries in Division I except the Kansas State men's basketball game notes. It is UTC's first honor for games notes in any sports season.
The 2018 Chattanooga Football Media Guide is a product of the Mocs' Strategic Communications Office, including JAy Blackman,
Jim Horten,
Anne Wehunt and
Corey Belonzi. The covers were designed by former UTC graphic designer Matt Wagner. The majority of photos in the annual publication were taken courtesy of Dale Rutemeyer, with detailed editorial assistance from Pam Henry.

There are over 50 categories across the board in the annual CoSIDA Publications Contest, with every program at every level having the opportunity to receive recognition for their work.
