Katie Burrows, Head Coach
On the team's progression.
"If you have been paying attention, you will notice how hard and how much better our girls are getting. I can't say enough about their effort and their intensity they bring every day to get to this point. We are not satisfied. We know that. We had a conversation yesterday and told them that they can't be satisfied over that one win [over Wofford]. It starts with the preparation and it has turned things over to being productive."

On freshman Dena Jarrells knocking down a late three to seal the victory.
"
Dena Jarrells. So, our freshman is no longer a freshman now. She has ice in her veins. What a great job of being patient. We talked about getting in our motion, which is our ball screen action, and we talked about slipping the screen and attacking the slip downhill because we were in the bonus. We were really good about pulling it back out and reversing it. In the past, we would have just jacked something up. And that's an area where we have grown. We made a couple extra passes and burned the help, and she was ready with her feet set. That's why she was so high in our recruiting process, she's a scoring point guard and is able to knock down those type of shots. I think this will give her some more confidence moving forward."

On the team improving entering the start of SoCon play.
"As we were struggling through non-conference play, which was a really tough schedule, has fully prepared us for these type of moments. We've been in the toughest situations. We struggled every day and when we came out of that with a clean slate, we asked what are we going to do about it. I can't express how pumped I am for these kids. They could have quit early on, but they have that grit about them. They decided that they were going to hike up their pants and put a little more effort into it. I'm so thankful it's paying off because they deserve it. Conference play is when it matters and we're playing our best basketball right now. We have to keep that up."
Lakelyn Bouldin, Sr.-G
On the importance of building on win from Thursday night.
"I think it was very important. It gives us a lot of confidence that we really needed to pick up this big win and gives us some momentum going forward."
On trying to extend leads against teams.
"That's kind of the hump we've been talking about getting over. Often times we can get a one point lead late in the game, then something happens, and it turns the other way and we end up on the wrong side. That is the crucial point for us, just getting over that hump."
On focusing on the defensive end when the offense wasn't clicking.
"We've just been focusing on defense and going after players who were in foul trouble. Of course the big focus was [Celena] Taborn and I feel like our posts did a great job on her tonight. We got her in foul trouble early, and just the defense getting stops."
NaKeia Burks, R-Sr.-G
On the team continuing to improve and stringing together big wins.
"It was so much fun. I'm so grateful for this bunch; when it gets tough, we know how to fight. I know this season has been tough, for sure, but I think all of our hard work is finally starting to pay off. It's exciting."
On freshman Dena Jarrells stepping up with the dagger three-pointer.
"I will say, Dena [Jarrells] is a gym rat. She works her butt off. It shows. She's not a true freshman; there's no way. She works her butt off and she has been preparing for that. As soon as it left her hands I knew it was going in. She's confident, and her feet were set in the corner, and when she's got her feet set, she can knock them down, so I knew she was going to make that."
On the exciting momentum moving forward.
"I think the fact that we're only going to continue to get better and we'll work on the little things that we weren't doing so great is exciting. We've still got to take better care of the ball, and offensive rebounds, we work on those things every day. Just continue to work on those things, we'll clean it up."
