TEAM
 - The Mocs dropped a hard-fought 80-78 home contest to Vanderbilt this afternoon … UTC falls to 1-3 on the year, while the Commodores improved to 2-1.

- UTC is 12-7 all-time against Vanderbilt … 5-6 in McKenzie Arena.  

- UTC led by nine at the end of the first quarter (23-14) and by seven at the break (42-35) … UTC was also up 57-52 heading into the final period, but Vandy outscored UTC 28-21 in the fourth to take the two-point win.

- The Commodores used a 10-0 run midway through the fourth to build a 68-62 lead with 6:25 to play … led 79-70 with 36 seconds left before UTC also made a comeback.

- The Mocs got 33 points off the bench, including 15 from Dena Jarrells and 11 from Anna Walker.

- Season-high 17 assists on 28 FGs for UTC … eight from Dena Jarrells off the bench.  

- Mocs had a season-high eight blocks … five by Abbey Cornelius … most since 13 against UNCG in the 2019 SoCon Tournament.   

- UTC was 3-5 from three in the first quarter … 7-19 the rest of the game.

- Mocs were 6-8 from the FT line in the first quarter … 6-12 the rest of the game.

INDIVIDUAL
Abbey Cornelius – Jr.-F
- Game-high and career-high 18 rebounds.
- Most rebounds in a game by a Moc since Jasmine Joyner had 20 at Furman on Jan. 13, 2016.
- Game-high and tied a career-high with five blocks … last at Western Carolina (2/8/2020).  
- Season-high 13 points on 6-10 shooting, 1-4 from the FT line.
- Fourth career double-double … first this season by a Moc.
- 15^th career game in double-figures.
- Added two assists.

Bria Dial – Sr.-G
- 10 points on 4-13 shooting, 2-7 from three.
- All 10 came in the first half.
- Added six boards … second on the team with 5.5 per game.

Dena Jarrells – So.-G
- Career-high 15 points off the bench.
- Shot 4-8 from the field, 3-4 from three and 4-6 from the FT line.
- Career-high for threes made.
- Career-high and game-high eight assists. 
- Most assists by a Moc since Molly Melton had eight against Georgetown on Nov. 25, 2017. 
- Tied a career-high with 28 minutes.

Amaria Pugh – Jr.-G
- 11 points on 4-8 shooting, 2-4 from three and 1-2 from the line.
- Added two assists.
- Double figures in two games this season.

Anna Walker – Fr.-G
- Season-high 11 points off the bench.
- First game in double-figures.
- Shot 3-4 from the field, 1-1 from three and 4-4 from the FT line.
- 13 minutes off the bench.

Eboni Williams – Jr.-F
- 11 points on 5-14 shooting, 1-3 from 3-pt. range.
- Double figures all three games this season … 10.3 ppg.
- Season-high eight rebounds.
- Season-high three assists.
- Tied a career-high with two blocks.
