Overall thoughts following 80-78 loss to Vanderbilt.
"Free throws and turnovers. The numbers don't lie. I'm sick of it and I told the kids that. Those are all under their control. There are things when I look back on film that I can 100 percent do better. I'm always looking for those things because I want to be excellent. But if we don't take care of this, we're not going to win ball games. Especially giving up 80 points. We're not doing a good job when it comes to personnel on the other teams, we have break downs and that's when they burn us. They punch us in the mouth and we don't punch back. We have to get that fixed now because all of that is under our control. We should have beat that team. They have great talent, but we were better than that team. Today we weren't. That's the frustrating part. I hope this stings as much for my girls as it does for me. I truly believe we should have won that ball game."
Â
On what the team did well down the stretch.
"They did a great job executing in that last minute. I was drawing stuff up and they were going out there and taking care of business. I could go through and talk about positives. I could talk about Abbey's double double and her cleaning up for us down there. But none of that matters if we don't win the game. We do have stuff to build on. I'm encouraged by that. We just have to mature in that respect. We can't have hiccups and beat an excellent team."
Â
On the play from freshman Anna Walker.
"She doesn't get flustered. Anna did a really good job. I've been proud of her and that's why you have been seeing her come off the bench a lot earlier in the game. I trust her and I think she's going to do the things I ask her to do every time she steps out on the floor. She was 4-for-4 at the line today and that shows she obviously doesn't get flustered. That was a big step for her today and for me trusting her even more."
Â
On moving forward.
"We don't have a whole lot of time to work on us. We have to turn around and play again on Tuesday. But this should be a player's dream with not having to practice as much and you just get to play games. But in those moments, it's about how you prepare yourself individually to get ready for that next matchup. I'm looking forward to getting back out there and getting this bad taste out of our mouths."

Abbey Cornelius, Jr.-F
On what was the difference in a narrow two-point loss.
"Free throws. We missed eight free throws and we lost by two. At the end of the day, it was free throws and turnovers. We have to clean that up."
Â
On what was emphasized down the stretch.
"Execution. We worked on the game plan and knew how to guard, so we just needed to sit down and get a couple stops and then come back and get good looks. I think we did a good job at that."
Â
On what's working.
"I think we're really finding our groove and becoming more comfortable with each other on offense. We're scoring a lot of points, we just have to come together on defense and sit down and guard."
Â
On moving forward after this tough loss.
"We don't take any moral victories. We wanted to win that game. An SEC team, no matter who they are, it's a good win for us. I think coming out of it and seeing that score, we're mad about it, but we know we can play with any team. Once we get into conference, these tough non-conference games are going to help us."
