Head Coach Katie Burrows

On outlasting the momentum of Georgia State
"It really shouldn't have gotten to that point. When they turned up the heat I felt like they were getting the loose balls and the loose rebounds. We were just kind of reaching for it. We needed to go in and snatch it, so I challenged them in a couple of time outs. I felt like a couple of things just didn't go our way for whatever reason.

"The thing about it is, when these teams turn up the pressure on us, that's when we fold. Fortunately, we had a really, really good first quarter and had a nice buffer otherwise that could have gotten out of control as far as he turnovers go.

"At the end of regulation, we executed that play really well. The pass just has got to be on the mark when we have .8 seconds. Eboni was wide open though.

"To come out and still be firm in an overtime game on the road, hey I'll take the win."

On Eboni Williams' play
"They recognized and she also recognized when there was a mismatch. They often had guards on her so she would go down and isolate them. We were smart enough to get the ball in there to her or at least, if they were sagging off to make the next pass to the next person and look for high-low action. They were actually smart in getting her the ball. She was putting her head down, getting to the rim. She had a couple of 3-pointers and those were coming from not early in offense, attacking and kicking into her shooter's pocket. Her shot selection was much better today and I think that is why you saw her score much better."

On the play of Abbey Cornelius with foul trouble
"Early on, the first few games, she got in foul trouble early in the games. I had a conversation with her and told her that she had to clean that up because we needed to have her in the game because of her versatility and her ability to step out and hit the outside shot and guard multiple positions. I told her she had to clean those things up. She assured me that she would. To have that awareness and to be able to stay disciplined and not foul out. I have a certain level of trust in her that I might not have in others. She tends to be coachable and listen and heed my advice when I give it to her."

On finishing out a tight schedule
"I told them before we came down here, I said we've got an opportunity to get back to .500. I said we were 2-4, and had the opportunity to get two wins on the road, which is tough to do, and start fresh and be able to finish non-conference with a winning record. I just challenged them and they accepted that challenge."
