- The Chattanooga Mocs posted a 77-64 win at North Alabama this afternoon … UTC wraps up non-conference action with a 5-4 record, while the Lions drop to 1-8.
- Third win in a row for the Mocs.
- UTC and North Alabama last met in December of 1987 and it is the only meeting between the two programs. The Mocs came away with a narrow 85-84 victory in Chattanooga. Regina Kirk set the school record for single-game scoring with 45 points against the Lions.
- UNA joined the NCAA Division I ranks in the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2018-19.Â
- Mocs were 17-24 (70.8%) from the FT line … second best from the line this season … came into the game fifth in the SoCon in FT% at 61.8% for the year.
- UTC shot 28-59 (47.5%) from the field … second best shooting performance of the season … came into the game leading the SoCon in FG% at 42.2%. Â
- Chattanooga was just 4-17 (23.5%) from three … tied a season-low for threes made.Â
- Mocs had eight steals … one off the season-high set against Eastern Kentucky.Â
- UTC committed a season-low 17 turnovers.Â
- Outrebounded UNA 44-33 … fourth game in a row winning the battle on the boards … back-to-back games with 10+ rebound advantage.
