Chattanooga Basketball Postgame Quotes
Chattanooga at Troy

Overall thoughts after Wednesday's road loss at Troy.
"I'm disappointed with the inconsistency. Every time we would do something well, we would do something bone headed. Whether it was getting beat in transition, messing up an action defensively, or offensively we would turn it over after a stop and they get a quick bucket. It's just so inconsistent right now and I have to figure out a way to become a more consistent team. I was disappointed when they started going on a run early in the first half, I was disappointed in how we responded. We didn't keep that same fire and that's what caused us to get down. In the past, we could overcome things like that because we would keep our fire. Some of our individuals have to figure out how to not play to make a mistake. Some of them are scared of making a mistake and I tell them they'll make more mistakes if they're worried about it because no one is perfect, and we all make mistakes. If you play that way, it makes you more timid."
On free throw woes today.
"We actually spent a great deal of time in practice on that yesterday. I knew it was going to be important. We shot 41 free throws and we were 23-of-41. That is completely unacceptable. When you think about how the game turned out, that's the game right there. Even if you make half of those you're right back in it and putting more pressure on them. It's insane to miss that many. That will get taken care of real quick."
On valuing the ball and limiting turnovers.
"I can't tell you how little we value the ball and that has to be taken care and it will be remedied in practice. We have one day to prepare for the next game, we have to take care of the ball. It's a want to thing. Just like rebounding is a want to thing. There's just a lot of little things that we didn't do today."

On short preparation in between games and what to scout.
"You can't really put anything new in right now. It can be with rotations, it can be with individuals and if they're hot. They wanted to play fast so they'll press you, speed you up, so you'll play fast and they can create points off turnovers which they did that as well. We talked about that yesterday how that was going to be a big key in today's game and how we can't allow them to speed us up. We went through a several-minute span where we just couldn't get it together. We have to clean it up."
On moving forward.
"We have to get organized quickly. I think some people did really well starting out and then they had a lull. Some people started out real shaky and then did some good things. If you get an opportunity, you have to seize it. I don't know that some of them get that yet. It's getting to that time too where chemistry can be affected because of playing time. I'm going to challenge them that it's not about them individually, it's about the team. We have to win. We have to figure out ways to win. I have to do my part too."
