The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team scored a 5-2 win over Western Carolina at the UTC Tennis Center today. The Mocs improve to 8-5 overall, while evening their Southern Conference record at 1-1.
Junior

Jessie Young moved to 10-2 at No. 2 doubles with their win today. Sophomore
Lilly Holmes and freshman
Callie Billman clinched the point at No. 3.
In singles action, Young was first off the court with a straight-sets win at No. 1,improving her record to 7-5 in the top spot. Holmes snapped a three-match slide with her win at No. 4, giving the Mocs a 3-0 lead.
Western Carolina took the next two points at No. 5 and No. 2, before Billman closed it out with a three-set win at No. 6. She moved to 6-1 in the bottom of the lineup and is 9-2 in singles overall this spring.
Sophomore
Polina Goloputova won her third match in a row, scoring a straight-sets win at No. 3 to close out the scoring. That win evened her spring singles record at 5-5.
UP next for the Mocs is a trip to Samford to face the Bulldogs on March 14. The next home match is March 18 at Noon (E.D.T.) against Georgia Tech.
