- The Chattanooga Mocs dropped a 71-60 Southern Conference game to Samford in McKenzie Arena tonight … UTC falls to 7-6 overall and 2-2 in SoCon action … Samford improved to 7-6 overall and remained unbeaten in league play at 4-0.

- Mocs trailed for the first three quarters, but took a 51-50 lead on two Bria Dial FTs with 7:09 left to play.

- UTC missed its first 16 shots in the fourth quarter and finished 1-17 from the field and 0-8 from three in the final period. 

- Both teams combined to shoot 19-20 from the FT line … Samford was 10-10 and the Mocs were 9-10. 

- UTC had 14 turnovers in the game … second lowest this season (12 at Furman – 1/15/21).

- Eboni Williams (10p, 13r) and Abbey Cornelius (18p, 15r) both had double-doubles in the game … last time two Mocs had double-doubles in the same game was the same pair at ETSU on Feb. 1, 2020- Eboni Williams (25p, 16r), Abbey Cornelius (18p, 13r).
