Head Coach Katie Burrows:

Opening Statement:
"I'm super proud of our girls. Unfortunately, we had a lot of girls play a lot of minutes but we'll get them turned around and ready to go for Friday. I am really proud of our fight. We finished strong when we needed to. We got big boards when we needed to. We should almost 80% from the free-throw line and made eight threes. We do need to clean up those turnovers though." 

On TSU's aggressive defense: 
"Tennessee State is going to run and catch up to you when they are on defense. We did a good job of getting [the ball] out of the sidelines and the corner. It was a team effort. We had four in double figures. Teams like this try and speed you up. They are more aggressive and they are going to foul you more. If you don't knock down free throws, it'll hurt you. We should 79% from the line. Our goal is 85%, but this was a step in the right direction." 

On getting through Tennessee State's zone
"We did a good job of breaking up their zone. They went to man in the fourth quarter and we had to settle down and get back in our groove for that. The team never gave up and they kept fighting. Even when things didn't go our way, they kept their composure and I was proud of them for that."
