- The Chattanooga Mocs clawed back twice from double-digit deficits before falling 63-52 to Cincinnati Wednesday night in McKenzie Arena…UTC is now 1-10, while the Bearcats are 6-4.
- Third all-time meeting…first home game first meeting at the 2011 Cancun Challenge and later on Nov. 19, 2019 in Cincinnati…more on the series below.

- Cincinnati led 24-3 at 6:00 and was up 24-4 as Mocs missed first 18 shots…Dena Jarrells three with 4:46 left in the second quarter broke the ice…went on a 20-0 run over 8:06 to close the gap to one, 24-23.
- Trailed 10, 41-51, after Akira Levy's floater with 5:09 remaining in the game…Mocs scored next nine points to get within one, 52-53, after Amaria Pugh's layup at 3:12…scored on five straight possessions with four consecutive defensive stops…Bearcats scored the final 10 points of the contest.

- Dena Jarrells' 17 points ties her career high…also scored 17 last Feb. 25 at ETSU…sixth time in double figures in 2021-22 and 15th career.
- Career-high five 3pt for Jarrells…one off the McKenzie Arena record six done eight times…the last was Kayla Christopher against Furman on Jan. 4, 2011…19 games with multiple threes made and nine with three or more.
- Two assists for Jarrells…entered the game leading the SoCon with 37 (3.7/game)…eight in the last two games…2.67 assist/turnover ratio over last two.
- 12 points for Abbey Cornelius tonight…limited to 28+ minutes due to foul trouble…team-high +6…added five rebounds.
- Cornelius came into tonight's game ranked eighth in the nation (SoCon leader) in defensive rebounds averaging 8.4 per game…all five of her boards came on the defensive glass moving her average to 8.1 per contest.
