- The Chattanooga Mocs dropped a 74-71 decision in the final seconds to North Alabama Saturday afternoon in McKenzie Arena…UTC is now 1-11, while the Lions are 5-5.
- Third all-time meeting…won last year's half of the home-and-home series 77-64 in Florence …more on the series below.
- 895-502 (.641) all-time…first official season of women's basketball was 1974-75…482-187 (.721) this century.
- Slow start shooting 31.3 percent in the first half (5-16)…made 20 or 46 (43.5%) the rest of the way.
- +6 rebounding claiming 35 with 29 going to UNA…season low for an opponent.
- +1 in turnover margin with 17 while UNA had 18…Lions were +14 in points off turnovers scoring 29 on the Mocs 17 miscues, while UTC managed 15 points in UNA's 18 TOs.
- The Lions 15 3pt made are a season high by an opponent and McKenzie Arena record…Belmont made 12 to open the season…+30 at the arc with 45 points off threes to the Mocs' 15 (5-19).
- Trailed by 10, 60-70, with 3:52 remaining in the contest on a Skyler Gill layup…Mocs went on an 11-2 run to close to within one, 72-71, with 7.9 seconds left on Amaria Pugh's layup…they could not take advantage of an ensuing UNA turnover and the final margin came on two Alexis Collins free throws with just over two seconds remaining.

- Abbey Cornelius blocked a career-high tying five shots today…moves ahead of Arianne Whitaker (2018-19) into third all-time with 113...Jasmine Joyner (2014-17) is first with a SoCon record 436, while Alex Anderson (2005-07) is second with 221.
- Cornelius scored a team-high 18 points...she needs two more to reach 750 for her career…team was a team high +6 in her 36:02 on the floor.
- Cornelius came into the game ranked 11th in the nation and the SoCon leader in defensive rebounding (8.1/game)…grabbed all eight of her boards off the defensive glass…30th in total rebounds and second in the SoCon.
- Dena Jarrells entered today leading the league in assists at 3.5 per contest…dished out two to reach 41 for the season…12 shy of her season-best total of 53 done in 23 games a year ago.
- Brooke Hampel registered 11 points and five rebounds…third double-digit game of the season, 18th of her career.
