Sophomore Esme Hamilton’s level-par 72 completed a solid week against a strong field at the Trinity Forest Invitational.

CHATTANOOGA---Esme Hamilton led the Chattanooga Mocs quintet at the Trinity Forest Invitational at Trinity Forest Golf Clun in Dallas. Hamilton's final round 72 keyed a top 15 finish at the former home of the PGA TOUR's AT&T Byron Nelson Classic.
 
The sophomore from England overcame a tough start double bogeying her first hole of the shotgun start. Back-to-back birdies on four and five, her eighth and ninth holes, got her back to level. She bogeyed six and birdied 11 finishing with four birdies and 11 pars for her even-par day.
 
Hamilton ended up in 14th with 223. Daphne van Son (235), Beatriz Barrios (236) and Rachel Thompson (238) were bunched together as Jefimija Dordevic (250) rounded out the scoring.
 
Today's 306 was led by Hamilton's 72. Van Son added 77 with Thompson and Barrios close behind at 78 and 79, respectively. The final 18 followed the completion of Monday's suspended second 18 which ended due to darkness.
