The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team upped its second record to 7-1 with a 4-2 win over Troy today. The Mocs took the doubles point and three singles matches at McCallie's Strang-Voges Tennis Center.
UTC opened with two doubles wins to take a 1-0 lead. Junior

Jessie Young moved to 4-2 at No. 2 with a 6-4 win over Michelle Ncube and Andrew Widing. Freshmen
Wilma Bergqvist and
Callie Billman improved to 3-0 as a pair at No. 3 with their 6-3 victory against Shevita Aulana and Matea Mihaljevic.
Junior
Emma Van Hee posted her 10
th win in a row with a (6-3, 6-4) win over Anastasii Khokhlova. Van Hee is now 8-0 in the spring. Young gave the Mocs a 3-0 lead with her three-set win over Mihaljevic [6-7 (3-7), 6-1, 7-6 (8-6)].
The Trojans got on the board with a win at No. 4, but sophomore
Caroline Gibbens closed out the dual with a win at No. 5 over Anastas Khrustaleva (6-2, 6-3).
Up next for the Mocs is a two-match road trip next weekend. UTC travels to North Alabama on Friday, March 5, and Kennesaw State on Sunday, March 7.
