CHATTANOOGA---The Chattanooga Mocs begin postseason play Monday at the Southern Conference Championships. The nine-team field tackles Oak Point Golf Course at Kiawah Island Resort in a two-day, 54-hole affair.

The Mocs have been in the hunt in 11 of the 12 conference tourney appearances in program history. They won five straight from 2010-14 and ended up second in six others. The program boasts six medalists – Emma de Groot (2011), Jordan Britt (2012), Agathe Sauzon (2013), Emily McLennan (2014), Megan Woods (2016) and defending champ and assistant coach Monica San Juan (2019).

This group is led by Esme Hamilton. The sophomore is making her second SoCon Tournament start and has seven top 10s, four in the top 5, since the last time she teed it up in the postseason. Dorota Zalewska, also a sophomore making her second postseason start, has the lone individual win of the year coming the last time the squad took to the course at a South Carolina venue back in October.

Three freshmen are making their postseason debuts in Beatriz Barrios, Daphne van Son and Jefimija Dordevic. Barrios is tied with Hamilton for the team lead in top 5s with three. She and van Son are tied for second in top 10s with three as the team has 14 on the year with four players with multiples between Hamilton, Barrios, van Son and Zalewska (2).

The ladies begin play Monday with 36 holes. Starting times start at 8 a.m., off holes 1 and 10 with paired in threesomes based on ranking with the Mocs likely in the middle pairings. Live scoring and pairings are available on the team's GoMocs.com schedule page and linked above.
