- The Chattanooga Mocs grabbed a 55-48 come-from-behind victory over Western Carolina in McKenzie Arena Thursday night…UTC is now 5-14, 3-1 in the Southern Conference, while the Catamounts are 6-13, 0-5 in the league.

- Trailed by nine, 30-21, at the half…largest comeback from a halftime deficit since the 65-64 Dec. 15, 2020 win at Austin Peay which was also nine (27-36)…largest at home since Belmont (-9, 27-36) on Nov. 17, 2013 in a 76-65 triumph.
- Used a 20-7 third quarter to take the lead, 41-37…Catamounts scored the first four points of the fourth quarter to tie it before a layup by Sigrun Olafsdottir with 7:44 to play gave the Mocs the lead for good…Nadia Marshall got the visitors within one, 46-45, with 4:25 left but UTC finished the game on a 9-3 run with stops on four of the Cats last five trips despite Western grabbing eight offensive rebounds to extend possessions.

- Monster 17-point, 16-rebound effort for Abbey Cornelius tonight…ties season high for boards with 16 also at Tennessee State and again at home against UNC Asheville…3-0 when she grabs 16 this season, just sayin'…5-7 from the floor and 7-10 from the FT line for her 17…drew eight fouls…added four assists and three blocks.
- Cornelius came into the game ranked fifth in the nation and the SoCon leader in defensive rebounding (8.5/game)…40th nationally in overall rebounds per game (9.7)…improved those averages to 8.9 on defensive glass with all 16 tonight coming there and 10.1 total…now averaging a double-double with 13.3 ppg…last Moc to average a double-double for a season? Jasmine Joyner in 2017 with 13.1 points and 10.5 boards per contest.
- Amaria Pugh has a 4-game double-figure scoring streak in SoCon play averaging 16.0 ppg…had 17 at Mercer, 18 at Samford and 18 at ETSU…shooting 57.8 percent (26-45) in league games…she was also a game-high +16 in her 31:21 of playing time.
- Brooke Hampel had 12 points tonight…her fourth game in a row in double figures and eighth of the season.
