CHATTANOOGA -- The Chattanooga Mocs women's tennis team dominated in a 7-0 win over Lee University in non-conference action inside the Strang-Voges Tennis Complex on the campus of The McCallie School on Sunday evening.

Following the win, Chattanooga improves to 3-1 on the young spring season. Lee University falls to 0-1 following its season opener.

"That's a great win today," said head coach Chad Camper. "That's a solid program and to win 7-0 without Jessie [Young] in singles is a big accomplishment."

In doubles action, the duo of Caroline Gibbens and Nicole Abel secured the first victory of the day for Chattanooga as the tandem battled their way to a 6-4 decision over Mirjana Ragastovac and Hayden Smith. Emma Van Hee and Coco Bosman secured the team's first point behind a 6-4 decision over Micaela Belen Maiz and Lisa Kirr.

With a 1-0 lead after doubles play, Bosman rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 defeat of Sierra Donaldson before Gibbens cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Kirr to put the team up 3-0. Van Hee won 6-0, 6-4 over Belen Maiz, clinching the team victory for Chattanooga.

The final single matches of the day saw Callie Billman earn a 6-1, 6-4 decision over Matina Ujdur, Lilly Holmes a 6-3, 6-0 winner over Ragastovac, and Abel a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 rally winner over Ashleigh Simes.
