Zalewska Earns 3rd SoCon Golfer of the Week Honor

Senior Dorota Zalewska led the Chattanooga Mocs setting and tying records last weekend at the Ron Moore Invitational.

CHATTANOOGA---Same as it ever was for Chattanooga Mocs senior Dorota Zalewska. She earned her third Southern Conference Golfer of the Week award in as many outings the league office announced Wednesday.
Zalewska shot 3-under 213 to tie for seventh at the Ron Moore Invitational. She turned in cards of 74, 69 and 70 over the three days. In the meantime, she set a career record, tied another and matched a season mark.
The 69 was her 11th career round in the 60s. That sets a new standard for the program breaking a tie with Emily McLennan '16 at 10. It was the sixth such round this season which ties McLennan's total in 2015-16. The final two days also gave her 32 par or better cards in her career matching Emma de Groot '11 in the record book.
Zalewska claimed her third top 10 in four events this season. She's 18 under so far and is ranked No. 63 in the country by Golfstat, No. 64 in Golfweek.
It's her sixth time winning the honor joining de Groot in second all-time in league history. Furman's Natalie Srinivasan (2018-20) holds the record with seven.
The Mocs close out the fall campaign next week at Mississippi State. They tee off at the Ally at Old Waverly Golf Club with 54 holes over two days, October 17-18.
