Zalewska Keeps Earning League Honors

Senior Dorota Zalewska claimed her third Southern Conference honor in as many weeks in a historic start for the Chattanooga Mocs

CHATTANOOGA---It's been an amazing start for Chattanooga Mocs senior Dorota Zalewska. She took September by storm and after just three events, already has three Southern Conference honors to add to her accomplishments.
She was twice named Golfer of the Week last month, so the latest news only stands to reason, Zalewska is the league's September Golfer of the Month.
The native of Poland put together the best 3-week stretch in school history. She's 15-under par through three events and at 70.00 strokes per 18, is on a pace to absolutely shatter the program's season scoring record she set last year (72.53).
Her September: 1 runner-up, 2 Top 10s, 3 Par or Better 54s & 8 par or better rounds in 9 cards.
Along the way, Zalewska tied the school record for career rounds in the 60s (10) doubling the total she had coming into the campaign. Her five are one short of Emily McLennan's season mark of six in 2016. All nine of her record par or better tourney totals have come in the last 14 events.
She became the third Moc to register 30 career par or better cards her last time out in Nashville. Her 30 total is just two behind the 32 by record holder Emma de Groot '11.
The Mocs head to the tee this weekend at the Ron Moore Invitational in Denver, Colo. It starts Friday with the first of three rounds played through Sunday. A complete preview is linked above.
