- Chattanooga fell 58-53 to Austin Peay in non-conference action. The Mocs drop to 1-2 on the year while Austin Peay picks up its second win in two games.
 
- UTC is now 33-9 all-time against the Govs. Austin Peay has won two of the last three meetings.
 
- The first half saw seven lead changes with time in the lead nearly split equally between the two programs.
 
- Austin Peay led much of the second half with just two lead changes.
 
- After trailing by as much as nine points in the third quarter, the Mocs mounted a comeback, tying the game 43-43 on a 3-pointer from Amaria Pugh with 7:27 to play.
 
- Austin Peay pulled away and led by five points twice before the Mocs put together a 6-0 run, bookended by Abbey Cornelius, to give UTC its first lead, 51-50, since midway through the second quarter.
 
- UTC outrebounded the Govs 31-28 but APSU had seven second chance points on five offensive rebounds compared to the Mocs three on five as well.
 
- Chattanooga had 17 miscues that led to 10 points for Austin Peay while UTC scored seven on nine APSU turnovers.
 
- From the free throw line, the Mocs were 14-of-17 (82.4%) and shot 38.3 percent from the field (18-47).
