Head Coach Shawn Poppie
On the play of the team at Alabama
"I'm proud of them. They're awesome. They are competing their butts off for this program, the university, our staff and each other. I've got to find a way to get a couple bodies out there because we're playing too many minutes for certain kids. But the ones we got out there are competing, trying to do it our way and we've given ourselves a shot and it's gut wrenching because you come down that stretch and you want it so bad. We just made a couple of mistakes that were just fatigue. I kept saying we're gonna run out of gas and we did a little bit there down the stretch."

On having a tough game plan
"They were searching and that's a good feeling. We talked about in pregame is we stick to our game plan. They're obviously good coaches, and they're going to have to try to find some things and then we had to do the same on our end. Their pressure really bothers you we had to find ways to get into backdoor cuts and get the floor space. Our kids played their tails off. My goodness. We controlled the tempo I thought for majority of the game. Thirteen turnovers is phenomenal. I know we only forced six. That's really kind of how we play. It was really that that fourth quarter on some of the mistakes on the defensive end that really cost us."

On play in the fourth quarter
"I thought our kids made adjustments on the fly. We put some kids in some different positions, changed some positions inside the same sets and trying to find ways to get some cutting action and some movement. For the first time we've seen that speed and that athleticism, I thought we handled it really well. I don't want to take anything away from what they did, but I thought we struggled to score down the strengths because we didn't get stops. I thought that it was the defensive end where we made a couple of mistakes.
